Jet-Lube V2 Plus Jointing Sealant Compound 236ml Threaded joints on tapered pipework leak when the thread form can't quite close the gap, and a good sealant is what fills it. Jet-Lube V-2 Plus is a soft-setting, non-petroleum-based multipurpose thread sealant containing PTFE and aramid fibres, designed to give an excellent seal on correctly made-up taper thread connections up to 50mm (2) diameter. It's classified under BS EN 751-2:1997 for use on gas installation pipework as a Class A, ARP and Class B thread sealant (1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases), and is WRAS listed for cold potable water. Because it stays soft-setting, it permits immediate pressurisation, so there is no cure time to wait out before testing.
