Lange & Sohne combines a luxurious 18ct rose gold case with a meticulously developed in-house movement capable of providing an accurate reflection of the moon’s position in the night sky each evening. The moonphase indicator, incorporated into a small seconds dial at 6 o’clock, is decorated in deep blue and gold tones and feature 825 stars that are constantly in rotation with the hour wheel. This feature needs only be adjusted once every 112.6 years providing the watch keeps running without interruptions. A solid silver argente dial is equipped with rose gold hands and hour markers, as well as a Panorama date which balances the display at 12 o’clock. The Calibre L086.5 is capable of a 72-hour power reserve and a performance of 21,600 vibrations per hour. Its 325 components are beautifully arranged behind a sapphire crystal glass caseback. The same material is used on the front of the Saxonia Moonphase watch also. The timepiece completes its stylish look on a deep brown alligator leather strap with an 18ct rose gold buckle.
