'King of Prussia' Spiced Rum by Pocketful of Stones
Distillery 700ml - Cornish Spiced Rum
Brand: Pocketful of Stones Distillery
In the late eighteenth century, on the shores of
Mounts Bay, smugglers John Carter, known as the King of Prussia,
and his brothers set out to bring rum to the people of Cornwall.
With the protection of their two large gun vessels, the Phoenix and
the Swallow, they spent the harsh Cornish winters travelling
between northern France and their home in Prussia Cove. Despite the
dangerous waters and the might of the British Navy, they would
return, their hold bursting with rum, and send it out with their
crew to be enjoyed throughout the land. The History In the early
twenty-first century, on the shores of Mounts Bay, distillers Jess
Shelley and Paul Robbins set out to bring rum to the people of
Cornwall. With the warmth of their two stills, Jackson and
Virginia, they spent the harsh Cornish winter testing spices,
playing with combinations and balancing flavours. Despite the
brutal Cornish weather and the constant call of the local pub, they
would create the perfect spiced rum and send it out with their crew
to be enjoyed throughout the land. About the Producer Pocketful of
