Three options are available, the 2Ah Compact, the 4Ah Slimline and the 5Ah Heavy duty. Each one is designed to give consistent power for T18S Cordless Tools to ensure you can complete your tasks for any application. With three power options available and ready to fit any tool within the Trend T18S range, each tool can be set up with a battery tailored to suit any power tool and the application. The 4Ah battery can cover the more demanding applications due to the higher capacity 21700 cells but has the advantage of a thinner and lighter profile than the 5Ah. The 4Ah Slimline battery provides maximum productivity levels by offering uncompromising performance, whilst maintaining a lighter weight to minimise user fatigue. Ideal for drilling out for lock cavities, masonry drilling, running in heavy support fixings or intensive sanding applications, allowing the user to control the tool when working on a bench or other horizontal flat surfaces. For vertical sanding work, swapping to a lighter battery helps reduce end-user fatigue without losing performance (although with a shorter run time). To maximise productivity levels and minimise any downtime issues all the batteries feature a set of four LEDs that indicate the amount of power currently stored. By pushing a button, you can quickly check to see if there's enough power to get the job done, or whether you need to recharge or swap to a fresh battery. Charge times with the Trend 6Ah charger, are 32 minutes for the 2Ah, 48 minutes for the 4Ah and 54 minutes for the 5Ah. The T18S Trend Cordless Power Tool Range has intelligent electrics within a built in Electronic Protection System (EPS System). This prevents the battery from becoming damaged by overload, excessive heat build-up or deep discharge. If any of these occur, the tool shuts down to protect the battery and the tool. Only resetting, once the danger limit has rectified, allowing you to continue working safely to get the job done.
