Robert Sorby 1.1/12" Bowl Finishing Inboard Scraper (Long Handled) 8008LH.11/2 Please Note - NOT Suitable for Sovereign Handles Key Features: Available in three profiles, all blades are 1 1/2" (38mm) by 3/8" (10mm) section. Massive in section, these were designed to reduce vibration and be stable in use. Because of their shear bulk (overall length between 21 1/2" and 22 1/2" (546 and 572mm) these scrapers can be used with large overhang from the tool rest. Excellent for large bowl work, platters and deep hollowing. Each scraper has an overall length of 21" (525mm) with a handle 14" (350mm) long. For finishing on bowls and platters especially where a smooth curve is required 8007 - Designed for finishing when working in the outboard mode of the lathe 8008 - Designed for finishing bowls when working inboard Many turners prefer to turn their tool handles to their own specifications. For those turners we offer here the un-handled versions of Sorby's standard turning tools. These High Speed Steel (HSS) un-handled blades are identical to the ones found on the handled versions. Nose detail as follows: 8004 / 80 04LH 8008 / 8007 8008LH / 8007LH Tools with handles are coded with an LH.
