It is designed to reduce or eliminate tear-out of the fibres of wood leaving a highly polished surface on all types of wood. The micro version is ideal for working on smaller projects like pens or dolls house miniatures Useful Tips When using the Hardwood Scraper, the tool rest should be below centre Make first contact with the heel of tool on your wood Many turners prefer to turn their tool handles to their own specifications. For those turners we offer here the un-handled versions of Sorby's standard turning tools. These High Speed Steel (HSS) un-handled blades are identical to the ones found on the handled versions.
