TREND T18S/MS184B 18V 184MM CORDLESS MITRE SAW - BARE UNIT TREND 18V CORDLESS MITRE SAW OVERVIEW The exciting new Trend T18S/MS184B 18V single bevel cordless mitre saw is an ultra compact and lightweight solution capable of a multitude of jobsite applications. Weighing in at just 10.4kg with the Trend Xpert Li Ion 5Ah battery fitted, this compact saw can easily be transported around the job-site without causing the user undue fatigue. Perfectly suited to 2nd fix trim applications, the T18S/MS184 is ideal for skirting, architrave, kitchen plinths, pelmets and lighting rails as well as studding and other first fix work using stock up to 210mm x 51mm. The single bevel tilt head is ideal for mitring skirtings and other flat stock up to 35mm deep and 210mm wide. Lasers are a very important asset on a mitre saw, the T18S/MS184B features a front mounted option. Traditional rear mounted versions only fire across the work, but the T18S/MS184B has the ability to transfer the line along the face of the work and also down the front edge of the work. For flat mitre cuts on architraves and the like, the rotating aluminium turntable has a 47° range to the left and right, with common index positions at 15, 22.5 and 45°. This allows for fast switching when setting common mitred joints. The trenching function makes good use of the smooth travelling and fluid pivoting action of the saw head, with a flip out stop quickly returning the saw to full depth cutting without losing a preset trenching setting. It's a primary feature for jointing door linings, forming housings and simple lapped joints, extending its use beyond the standard mitre and square cut functions. In a runtime test with the 5Ah battery, 250 mitre cuts were made in 18x119mm MDF skirting before the battery required recharging. Alternatively, 190 90° cuts were made in 100x50 CLS pine, before the battery was depleted. It comes with a high quality Trend CSB/CC18448T 48 tooth thin kerf negative rake blade, for high quality cuts and premium finishes in all materials, with a wide range of additional blades available for different cutting options.
