Robert Sorby Standard Bowl Gouge - Extra Long Handled Version - 842XLH.3/4 Key Features: A must in the tool kit of every bowl turner. These tools are ideal for making bowls. They can produce either massive profiling cuts or delicate finishing cuts as necessary. These tools have a deep flute grind unlike spindle gouges. Many turners prefer to turn their tool handles to their own specifications. For those turners we offer here the un-handled version of Sorby's standard 1/4" Bowl Gouge blade. These High Speed Steel (HSS) un-handled blades are identical to the ones found on the handled versions. The blade listed here will also fit the Sorby Sovereign System Handles. A Collet Adapter may be required if used with the Sovereign System. Check your manual for the size collet required if, any. Unhandled tools are in blade only form and are compatible with the Robert Sorby Sovereign handle system. Handled Tools are prefixed with H (handled) LH (long handled) or XLH (extra-long handled).
