Robert Sorby 3/8" Long and Strong Spindle Gouge - Handled Version - 841H.3/8 Key Features: Sorby's "Long & Strong" Spindle Gouges are identical to their standard gouges, except for the increased blade length. The increased length of the blade gives you the ability to reach much deeper into the work piece and is manufactured with a High Speed Steel (HSS) blade. Many turners prefer to turn their tool handles to their own specifications. For those turners we offer here one of Sorby's selection of the more highly used unhandled tool blades. These High Speed Steel (HSS) unhandled blades are identical to the ones found on the handled versions. The blade listed here will also fit the Sorby Sovereign System Handles. A Collet Adapters may be required if used with the Sovereign System. Check your manual for the size collet required, if any. Blade has an overall length of approximately 12". Tools with handles are coded with an H.
