3 x Osius Chicken Bone Broth with Herbs 200ml - Organic Chicken Bone Broth
Brand: Osius Bone Broth
Full of organic goodness, with 100% organic chicken bones. Hand made on a small farm in the utterly beautiful rural county of Herefordshire. Our bone broth is highly versatile - you can enjoy as it is or add to other dishes to enhance flavour and nutrition. About bone broth Not surprisingly bone broth is made with bones. The bones can be roasted first; this enhances the colour and deepens the flavour of the broth. There may be a small amount of meat adhering to the bones but generally they are clean of meat. A good bone broth will be simmered very gently over a low heat for a period of days. It is the slow, long cooking time that extracts the gelatine from the collagen-rich joints but also releases the minerals from the bones. At the end of the cooking period, the bones look like porcelain - they are clean, white and very light, crumbling to the touch. How to use bone broth This bone broth is not a concentrate so you can drink it as it, or dilute it if you prefer to make a longer drink. A nutritionist will be able to advise on the recommended amount of bone broth for you to take but we usually find that most people find 100ml per day is sufficient. Please do not use our advice as a replacement for any medical advice. Our bone broth is extremely versatile - you can consume it as is, or use it as a stock, adding it to gravy, casseroles, sauces etc. Simply heat it through gently until it starts to simmer, let it cool to your desired temperature and enjoy! Please note that the bone broth is not seasoned so you can add your preferred seasoning of salt, pepper, lemon juice, ginger, chilli and so on. Our philosophy Our philosophy is simple and it is not rocket science. We believe that real food is a major contributor to health and well-being. Look after your gut and all should be well. Our ingredients Our bones are sourced from happy, healthy animals that have spent their lives frolicking on rich, luscious, green pastures. The nutrient-rich diet of these animals gives our broth its dense goodness. Our vegetables are from organic farms. Simmering We roast our bones first to give the broth a deep rich flavour and then simmer it on a very low heat in small batches, for days! This is how our ancestors made broth and for good reason. It is this gentle simmering on a very low heat, over a long time, that extracts all of the essential nutrients we need. The long, slow process results in the dark, dense, rich broth. Shelf life This product is frozen, and will be delivered in special chilled packaging to keep it frozen. Please freeze or refrigerate upon receipt. The expiry is 6 months from production, 14 days once defrosted and 5 days once opened.
