Blackberries can be found growing wild throughout the
UK and are more commonly known as brambles. We use cultivar
varieties in our jam, rather than wild grown fruit, which produce
larger and more juicy berries although there is no avoiding the
pips! Apples belong to the rose family as well as blackberries so
these two fruits together make a wonderful combination with a
smoother texture than blackberries alone. A spoonful of this jam
goes wonderfully in a bowl of rice pudding About the Producer Jam

luxury, British preserves to the highest standards, but believe
these shouldn't cost the Earth. Here at Jam Packed Preserves we
don't like food waste. That's how we got started. We had a surplus
of fruit from our allotment, and after getting the family recipe
from Grandma, the first jar of raspberry jam was made. We source
the best quality ingredients from British growers whenever
possible. We don't just do this because we believe in supporting
our communities, but it also reduces food miles, making it a much
more sustainable choice.
