Semi-soft blue cheese made in Oxford. It has springy soft creamy texture, with spicy, tangy and aromatic blue flavours. Fantastic British alternative to Dolcelatte or Fourme d'Ambert. Robert Pouget saw a gap in the English blue cheese market for a semi-soft English blue which could rival imports such as Dolcelatte, Cambozola or Fourme D'ambert and as a result developed Oxford Blue in 1994 for the Oxford Cheese Company. Hand made by Robert with pasteurised cow's milk, Oxford Blue is a full-fat soft, vegetarian cheese. Creamy with a distinctive blue flavour. Aromatic and spicy, this cheese can be paired with white wine and gives a salty and tangy flavour.
