5 x Osius Beef Bone Broth with Seaweed 500ml - Organic Bone Broth
Brand: Osius Bone Broth
Handmade on a small farm in Herefordshire, Osius’s Organic Beef Bone Broth with Seaweed is as rustic as an ingredient gets. With its origins dating back millenia, there’s a reason bone broth has stuck around – not only does it have a range of reported health benefits, it’s also incredibly rich and flavoursome. Made with 100% grass-fed beef, it’s also certified organic. While it is often added to dishes, such as casseroles and sauces, to enhance flavour and nutrition, Osius’s Organic Beef Bone Broth with Seaweed can also be consumed straight out the packet for fans of rich, beefy flavours. About bone broth Not surprisingly bone broth is made with bones. The bones can be roasted first; this enhances the colour and deepens the flavour of the broth. There may be a small amount of meat adhering to the bones but generally they are clean of meat. A good bone broth will be simmered very gently over a low heat for a period of days. It is the slow, long cooking time that extracts the gelatine from the collagen-rich joints but also releases the minerals from the bones. At the end of the cooking period, the bones look like porcelain – they are clean, white and very light, crumbling to the touch. How to use bone broth Osius’s Organic Beef Bone Broth is extremely versatile – you can consume it as is, or use it as a stock, adding it to gravy, casseroles, sauces etc. Simply heat it through gently until it starts to simmer, let it cool to your desired temperature and enjoy! Please note that the bone broth is not seasoned so you can add your preferred seasoning of salt, pepper, lemon juice, ginger, chilli and so on. This bone broth is not a concentrate so you can drink it as it is, or diluted if you prefer to make a longer drink. A nutritionist will be able to advise on the recommended amount of bone broth for you to take, though most people find 100ml per day is sufficient. It should not be used as a meal or medicinal replacement without seeking professional advice.
