Brand:
Cuprofen 400mg Max 96 tablets Cuprofen is a shortterm oral pain reliever recommended for people aged 12 years and over to treat mild to moderate pain, inflammation and fever. It may be used when basic analgesics such as paracetamol are insufficient, but you should consult a doctor or pharmacist if pain persists or cannot be managed with Cuprofen alone. Each tablet contains a maximum strength dose of ibuprofen (400 mg) and is intended for adults and children over 12. Take one 400 mg tablet every 46 hours, up to 3 times in 24 hours (maximum 1,200 mg/day). Cuprofen can irritate the stomach, so take with or after food. Stop taking the medicine and seek medical advice immediately if you think you have taken more than the stated dose or if you begin to feel unwell. Do not use for longer than 3 days in those under 18, or longer than 10 days in adults without medical advice. Composition: Each tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Excipients include lactose and magnesium stearate. Please read the Patient Information Leaflet for a full list of ingredients. As with all medicines, side effects can occur. Commonly reported reactions include indigestion, abdominal pain, nausea, headache and skin rashes. If you notice black or bloody stools or blood in vomit, seek urgent medical attention. Do not take if allergic to any ingredients or if you have had repeated stomach ulcers/bleeding. Avoid during pregnancy unless advised; consult a healthcare professional if breastfeeding or taking other medicines (including other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, bloodpressure treatments or corticosteroids). Read the leaflet and speak to a pharmacist or doctor if unsure.
