Hana 75mcg - 28 Film Coated Tablets Hana is a progestogen-only contraceptive (minipill) intended for women seeking reliable, daily birth control. It is suitable for those who cannot, or prefer not to, take oestrogen-containing pills including women who are breastfeeding or who have high blood pressure. Hana is recommended for anyone wanting a discreet, hormoneonly option. Hana comes as a strip of 28 filmcoated tablets, each marked with the day of the week to simplify daily use. Swallow one tablet whole with water at the same time each day and start the next strip immediately after 28 days. Periods commonly change or stop while taking Hana; this is not usually a cause for concern. If taken within 12 hours of your usual time, missed tablets do not usually reduce protection; after 12 hours you must follow missedpill guidance and use additional contraception. Vomiting within 4 hours or severe diarrhoea should be treated as a missed tablet. Hana is not an emergency contraceptive and cannot be used to delay periods. Alcohol and routine painkillers do not affect its efficacy. Each filmcoated tablet contains 75 micrograms of a progestogen (a progesteronelike hormone) and comes in packs of 28 tablets.
