Alka-Seltzer Original - 10 pack Alka-Seltzer Original provides fast, effervescent relief for adults experiencing indigestion, heartburn, excess stomach acid and associated discomfort. It is recommended for adults and adolescents aged 16 and over who need quick relief from indigestion, sour stomach and mild pain related to these conditions. These effervescent tablets dissolve in water to produce a fizzy, fastacting solution that neutralises excess acid and relieves symptoms quickly. Supplied as a convenient 10tablet pack, it is suitable for keeping at home or taking when travelling. Do not use for more than three days without consulting a doctor and always read the packaging before use. Each tablet contains Aspirin 324 mg, citric acid 965 mg and sodium hydrogen carbonate (bicarbonate) 1744 mg. The combination provides both an antacid effect (sodium hydrogen carbonate and citric acid) and pain relief/antiinflammatory action from aspirin. Directions: Adults and children over 16 years should take two tablets dissolved in water. Maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours. Warnings: contains aspirin not recommended for children under 16 except on medical advice. Possible side effects include reactions in people sensitive to aspirin (such as asthma attacks and skin rashes), gastric irritation, nausea, dyspepsia and stomach bleeding.
