Hydromol Ointment 125g Hydromol Ointment is an emollient for the management of dry, scaly or itchy skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. It is suitable for use by adults and children (check with your pharmacist or doctor for very young infants) and may be used on hands, body and feet to help relieve soreness and restore skin comfort. This is a rich, paraffin-based ointment that provides longlasting moisturisation by forming a protective barrier on the skin to reduce water loss and soften rough areas. Its occlusive nature helps soothe inflamed or chapped skin and can be applied as often as required to maintain skin hydration. Composition: Emulsifying Wax (contains cetostearyl alcohol and sodium lauryl sulphate), yellow soft paraffin and liquid paraffin. Note: this product contains paraffin ingredients. Conclusion: Do not use Hydromol Ointment if you or your child have ever had an allergic reaction to Hydromol or any of its ingredientsask your pharmacist if you are unsure. As a paraffin-based product it can present a fire risk: avoid smoking or naked flames while the ointment is in contact with clothing, dressings or bedding; change and wash clothing and bedding regularly (6090C where appropriate); protect furniture with a washable cover; and inform relatives or carers about the treatment.
