It is recommended for people with chronically dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or ichthyosis, and for anyone needing intensive daily skin hydration to restore comfort and suppleness. This rich, non-greasy emollient absorbs readily to form a protective barrier that helps retain skin moisture and reduce dryness and irritation. It is suitable for frequent use, gentle enough for adults and children, and can be applied to large areas. The texture makes it convenient for everyday skin care and as part of a prescribed skin protection routine. Composition: Doublebase Dry Skin Emollient is a paraffin-based formulation containing paraffin (including liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin) with moisturising and emulsifying ingredients to help spread and hydrate the skin. As a paraffin-containing product, it is associated with a fire risk if it soaks into clothing, dressings or bedding. Please note important safety advice: Do not smoke or use naked flames while emollients are in contact with clothing, dressings or bedding. Change clothing and bedding regularly (preferably daily) and wash at high temperatures (6090C) to reduce paraffin build-up. Cover furniture and inform carers or household members about the risk.
