- Cheese Gift with Crackers & Chutney
Brand: The Bath Soft Cheese Company
Enjoy this Cheese and Cider Pairing box alongside our
pick of the best Crackers and Chutney to join then. Includes: Wyfe
of Bath 250g: Supreme Champion 2019 International Cheese Awards -
Succulent, nutty, and creamy. This semi-hard cheese is redolent of
buttercups and summer meadows. Similar to a Gouda in texture, it
resembles the cheese farmers’ wives would make out of soured milk.
It is matured for 4-6 months. Wyfe of Bath takes its name from
Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales and, like the tale, when you cut into a
Wyfe of Bath you will get a taste of old England. Bath Blue 200g:
Supreme Champion 2014 World Cheese Awards - A classic blue veined
cheese - it has been likened to Stilton. A creamy cheese that
retains some of the blue piquancy but is not as strong as the
majority of blue cheeses. Best Cheese in the World! Walnut, Honey
& Extra Virgin Olive Oil Crackers – The Fine Cheese Co. 125g:
Intentionally subtle, so as to never overwhelm the cheese.
Flavoured with ground walnuts and a drizzle of honey. Serve with
Stilton or any blue cheese - such as Bath Blue Spicy Tomato and
Caramelised Onion Chutney - The Cherry Tree 320g: This Real Ale
Chutney is the perfect answer to your finest Ploughman's supper!
Two River Cider - Pilton 330ml: This cider is made from orchards
that lie between the rivers Brue and Sheppey in Somerset Pilton
Tamoshanta Cider 330ml: A fruity keeved cider, partially fermented
in oak barrels About the Producer Award-winning cheese made by hand
at Park Farm, Kelston near Bath with milk from our own cows. The
Padfield family have been happily milking a herd of cows at Park
Farm for four generations. Edward Ernest Padfield took on the 240
acres of Park Farm in August 1914. Cheddar cheese was made by his
wife in the building that adjoined the farmhouse and the cows were
milked by hand in the building across the yard. They had a small
herd of Shorthorn cows. The local Bath Cheese was well known in the
18th and 19th centuries. It was even recommended to Admiral Lord
Nelson in a letter from his father, written shortly after Nelson’s
victory at the Battle of Copenhagen.. Bath Blue came first at the
World Cheese Awards 2014-15, seeing off competition from 2,700
other cheeses from around the globe. All of our cheeses are made
using old-fashioned manual methods, which gives the cheeses more
flavour. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase this
