The boards are machined with a lap or tongue and groove joints to allow adjoining boards to interlock. The Tongue and Groove joint still allows some movement which may occur with variable moisture levels. After machining the boards are pressure treated with the new generation Tanalith-E preservative. This 6ths log lap Cladding is made from high quality certified Scandinavian redwood timber. Its ex sizes which is before machining is 125mm x 25mm (ex). Its finished size after machining which is the size you receive is approx 20mm x 116mm and each board covers approx 110mm. It is preservative pre-treated giving the timber water repellent properties. This cladding Pack is ideal for all garden building projects. A tough, durable reject cladding board which has been pressure treated and is guaranteed to protect the timbers from rot & decay. Produced from a slow grown softwood timber that produces tight, compact growth rings giving you a stable cladding board. A simplistic design means this board would be a wonderful addition to any garden building. This cladding is supplied pressure treated. Please note: This is 6thse cladding and will have its fair share of knots, and wane etc. We guarantee that every board is useable taking into consideration cuts around doors & windows. 6th Grade (Contract Grade) The 6ths grade that we machine has larger knots, shakes and wane. It is used for exterior buildings, walls etc. 6th Grade can also be used for exterior claddings, and furniture manufacture where the defects add to the features of the furniture. 6th Grade Joinery has a higher knot content than unsorted, with the grain not always straight.
