Even for just one room with joists, make underfloor heating possible with with our professional joist kits to heat one room. Our kit is designed to be installed over joists and suspended floors at 400mm centres. These kits are suited for internal floors, new builds & extensions and will work with all types of floor coverings including carpet, vinyl, laminate, engineered wood and tiles. The standard output kits use 150mm pipe centres which makes them ideal for conservatories and other rooms with a high heat loss. IMPORTANT: if using wooden flooring (laminate, parquet, engineered) a floor probe must be used in each room to limit the floor temperature to 27 degree celsius. Installation Overview: A support deck or batons are installed along the joist face. A 50mm insulation board is then laid between the joist leaving a 20mm air gap to accommodate the pipe and plate grooves. The aluminium plates are laid along the top of the joist and nailed in place, leaving a 10mm gap between each plate. 16mm pipe is pushed into the omega shaped grooves for a solid and secure hold.
